Cafe Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that Knead Community Café’s mission is understood by all and embodies our nonprofit's values and commitment to the community

Oversee daily cafe operations, including opening/closing procedures and cash handling

Provide exceptional customer service and create a warm, welcoming environment for all guests

Train and direct volunteers on café operations

Foster a positive, team-oriented culture and resolve any staff or customer concerns
-
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the entire facility
Qualifications:
-
Basic understanding of computer data entry
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
-
Passion for food and making a difference in the community
-
Team player with a positive attitude
-
Ability to multi-task, must be reliable and trustworthy
-
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
-
Supervisory and restaurant experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (6+hrs)
-
Ability to move freely around the café to attend to needs of guests and staff
-
Ability to reach, bend, twist, lift, stair climb, and handle equipment, supplies and other objects weighing up to 30 pounds
Hours and Pay:
This position is approximately 20-25 hours per week at a starting rate of $13/hr. Hours are primarily day shift Tuesday- Saturday with some special evening events required.
